The founder of SlowMist, Yu Xian, stated on social media that whether it is Unibot on Telegram or friend.tech on the Base chain, the private keys are centrally hosted. It is technically possible to achieve self-hosting of private keys, but the user experience is not yet mature.
The public smart contract code of friend.tech shows that the contract owner is an EOA address, and the assets in the current contract have reached 2100 ETH and are still growing. (It is also the receiving address for protocol fees, which has reached 526 ETH.) If the owner's permissions are leaked, the protocol fees may be modified, and users will bear the losses.
Yu Xian stated that friend.tech is a typical "run fast" mode, where the earlier you participate in buying and the later you sell, the higher the profit. However, the popularity of this gameplay may not be sustainable.
