June 26 (Cointime) - Former Ripple Director, Matt Hamilton, expressed his frustration on Twitter after witnessing a team at a hackathon claim to have solved the problem of low transaction fees on the Ethereum blockchain. Hamilton pointed out that the XRP Ledger (XRPL) had already addressed this issue back in 2011, long before Ethereum was created.
Despite the XRPL's low transaction fees and high speed, Ethereum still has a larger base of developers and builders. Hamilton speculated that this may be due to the fact that there are fewer problems to solve on the XRPL, which is a testament to its efficiency.
