In the SBF criminal trial, Nishad Singh, former engineering director of FTX, read out a list of transactions from an electronic spreadsheet in court, which showed that FTX provided promotion funds to celebrities and influencers far exceeding $1 billion.
These transactions include FTX spending $135 million to rename a well-known entertainment center in Miami as FTX Arena (now Kaseya Center). The list also includes $28 million paid to NBA basketball player Steph Curry, $14 million paid to Canadian businessman Kevin O'Leary, and undisclosed amounts paid to NFL quarterback Tom Brady, model Gisele Bundchen, and actor Larry David. Singh stated that these transactions totaled $1.3 billion.
