Former employees of Ethereum infrastructure firm ConsenSys have filed a lawsuit against the firm’s founder and CEO, Joseph Lubin, alleging that he diluted employee equity shares against earlier promises. The plaintiffs claim that Lubin breached a “no-dilution promise” made in 2015 and got rich while they got nothing.
The plaintiffs also named JPMorgan as one of the seven defendants, alleging that it played a pivotal role in negotiating the asset transfer and became a new equity holder in the new US entity. ConsenSys has called the claims "frivolous" and expects the plaintiffs to find their gambit is another fruitless attempt to enrich themselves from the success of others.
