According to Tencent Technology, Zhou Hengxing stated that in 2014, he introduced Zhang Yiming to Musk and accompanied him to visit Tesla headquarters. In 2024, after Musk publicly expressed opposition to the ban on TikTok, Zhou Hengxing once again facilitated contact between the two. However, it is unclear whether Musk and Zhang Yiming have had an offline meeting.
