June 19 (Cointime) - Etherscan, an Ethereum blockchain explorer, has introduced a new AI tool called "Code Reader" that uses OpenAI's language model to help users understand the source code of any smart contract. The beta tool generates AI prompts for specific code sections or functions to provide deeper insights into the code.

Code Reader can also be used to obtain a comprehensive list of smart contract functions related to reading and writing Ethereum data, as well as to explore code to integrate a smart contract with decentralized applications. Etherscan has cautioned users that an OpenAI API key with sufficient usage limits will be required to use the AI service on its website and that not all answers generated by the tool may be correct.
