Elon Musk has announced plans to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) platform called "Truthgpt" that will be "truth-seeking" and safe for humanity. The owner of Tesla criticized Openai, the developer of Chatgpt, for training AI to lie and accused the company of being a "closed-source," "for-profit" organization in which Microsoft has a strong say.
Sources familiar with the plan claim Musk has been recruiting AI researchers from Google to launch an AI startup. While admitting he is starting late, he intends to create a "third option" after Openai's Chatgpt and Google's Bard, insisting that his AI platform "might be the best path to safety" that would be "unlikely to annihilate humans." In March, the investor registered a company called X.AI Corp in Nevada.
