July 4 (Cointime) - Elon Musk has announced further restrictions on Twitter, limiting access to the popular account management tool TweetDeck to only verified users. Twitter has also introduced changes such as requiring users to log in to view tweets and limiting the number of posts unverified users can view.
Users have criticized the move, with some accusing Musk and Twitter of limiting freedom of speech. In response to the restrictions, some users have moved to other platforms, including Jack Dorsey-backed Bluesky. Additionally, Mark Zuckerberg's Instagram has announced the release of its Twitter-like platform "Threads," which will collect user data to establish a "sanely run" social media site.
