Digital artist Mike "Beeple" Winklemann created a graphic image of crypto influencer Ben Armstrong covered in simian fecal matter, in response to Armstrong's involvement in a crypto token called BEN. Armstrong committed to paying roughly $430,000 for a 20% stake in the meme token and control over its liquidity pool, which has been criticized by many as "mind-blowing idiocy." Bitboy, another cryptocurrency influencer, faced criticism from his own followers over his motives. When Beeple called out Bitboy's credibility, Bitboy responded by comparing Beeple to a notorious serial killer. Decrypt reached out to Bitboy and Ben.eth for comment, but did not receive a response.
