At the Buidl Asia event in South Korea, Cointelegraph spoke with Makoto Inoue, the developer of Ethereum Name Service (ENS), about the potential of Web3 social media to replace Web2. Inoue explained that Web3 is inherently social and distributed, built on top of the blockchain, making everything transparent and creating a social graph.

ENS plays a role in making things easier to understand and creating an identity trail, while also ensuring that there are no entities that could stand in the way of users. Inoue believes that Web3 technology can enhance what is already there on Web1 and Web2, rather than completely replacing them.
