Crypto influencer Evan Luthra is suing Bitget for freezing his account and holding $200,000 in Tether after he sold 1.3 million REELT tokens on the exchange. Bitget froze Luthra's account under suspicion of market manipulation, citing four accounts associated with the REELT team selling more than 2 million tokens soon after listing, leading to a 60% drop in the REELT price. Luthra claims innocence and seeks $16 million in damages, along with the $200,000 held in his account. Bitget's managing director, Gracy Chen, stated that the exchange had previously announced its investigation's findings on the suspicious activities and a compensation plan for affected clients.
