July 2 (Cointime) -Crypto.com, trusted by more than 80 million customers worldwide and the industry leader in regulatory compliance, security and privacy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Humenik, Global Head of Derivatives Legal at Crypto.com, to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC) Digital Asset Markets Subcommittee.

As a Subcommittee member, Humenik will focus on providing guidance and recommendations to GMAC on key issues that affect the integrity and competitiveness of U.S. markets and U.S. firms engaged in global business, such as regulatory challenges of a global marketplace and the multinational nature of business, including for derivatives markets; and assessing and informing international standards through engagement with international policymakers and authorities in other jurisdictions. The Subcommittee will also explore identifying and assessing key issues and policy proposals with respect to digital asset markets, including digital finance and tokenization of assets, non-financial activities and Web3, and blockchain technology.
