Vilma Mattila, one of the co-founders of blockchain network 5ire, is stepping down from her position due to internal disputes with other co-founders making decisions without her consent. 5ire raised $100 million in Series A funding last year, valuing the company at $1.5 billion.

The company seeks to shift towards a 'for-benefit' economy and empower decentralized autonomous organizations to help accelerate the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Despite raising $100 million, 5ire has only received $20 million so far and its Mainnet is expected to launch in the next few quarters.
