The breadth of its investor base is also noteworthy, with participation from Google Ventures, Mantis VC, and Paris Hilton, among others. Checkmate's free iPhone app pulls all shopping into one place, tracks packages, and saves users money on 40,000 online stores through an affiliate model.

The company plans to create a personalized shopping assistant and become the go-to marketing platform for online stores.
