Celestia has announced an important upgrade called Lemongrass. The Lemongrass upgrade for the Celestia mainnet Beta version is expected to take place in early to mid-September. In addition, there will be technical changes to the data availability (DA) layer, including trimming blob data (CIP-4) and a new messaging framework called Shwap (CIP-19).The Lemongrass hard fork covers multiple CIPs specified in CIP-17, including price execution (CIP-6), data packet forwarding middleware (CIP-9), coordinated upgrades (CIP-10), cross-chain accounts (CIP-14), and disabling the Blobstream module (CIP-20). These updates aim to improve network efficiency, simplify architecture, and enhance interoperability with other blockchains.
