June 28 (Cointime) - The Cboe BZX Exchange has updated its 19b-4 filing for the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF to include a surveillance sharing agreement, similar to the one used by BlackRock for its spot bitcoin fund. The agreement is intended to deter fraud and market manipulation.
The exchange expects to enter into a bilateral surveillance-sharing agreement with a US-based spot trading platform for bitcoin. The amended filing could potentially put ARK in competition with BlackRock to gain the first approval of a spot bitcoin ETF, as the SEC has never approved one before.
