June 22 (Cointime) - Guilherme Haddad, the Director of Binance Brazil, has been requested to appear before the Brazilian parliament by Congressman Alfredo Gaspar, a member of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) of the Financial Pyramids. This is part of an ongoing investigation into alleged pyramid schemes operating in Brazil.

The request still needs to be voted on by other members of the CPI, with the vote taking place on June 27. Binance is facing regulatory scrutiny from authorities in multiple countries, including Brazil, where it is being investigated by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office and Federal Police for allegedly helping clients evade a stop order on cryptocurrency derivatives investments.
