July 1 (Cointime) - A cyber thief known as Fake_Phishing182232 has stolen two Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFTs, which were later sold for a combined 70.44 ETH on the Blur marketplace.
The thief has been active since June 23 and has scammed victims out of dozens of NFTs through phishing links. Other NFT collections, including Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Kennel Club, and Killabears, have also fallen victim to the phishing hack. The incident highlights the need for best practices regarding wallet security, as phishing attacks have turned their attention to digital collectibles.
