Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange based in Seychelles, has announced plans to hire 300 more employees across various departments such as operations, compliance, research and development, and customer support. The company currently has about 1,300 employees, according to its first-quarter report. Unlike other exchanges that laid off employees during the recent contraction of the Web3 industry, Bitget announced last November that it was looking to expand its workforce by 50%. In the first quarter of 2023, the total spot and futures trading volume at the trading platform reached US$59 billion and US$658 billion, respectively, marking an increase in trading volume.
