Self-proclaimed "creator of Bitcoin," Craig Wright, has suggested that Apple is in breach of copyright for storing the Bitcoin white paper on its computers.

The Australian computer scientist claims that Bitcoin spin-offs derived from the cryptocurrency are in breach of his intellectual property rights because he invented the original blockchain. Wright's lawyers said in 2020 that he did not have access to the private keys to Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin address, which would be a crucial proof of Wright's claims.
