June 21 (Cointime) - Bitcoin and Ethereum prices have surged in Asia trading, with Bitcoin up 5.8% to $28,359 and Ethereum up 3.4% to $1,793. Bitcoin's market share has also exceeded 50% for the first time in two years.
Institutional interest in Bitcoin remains strong, with BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF filing and the launch of a new institutionally backed crypto exchange called EDX seen as bullish factors for the market.
Aave's version 3 blockchain has seen a 15% increase in total value locked (TVL) in June, reaching $1.76 billion, reflecting growing interest in DeFi protocols. The majority of crypto assets transacted on Aave are Ether, stablecoins, wrapped Bitcoin, and liquid staking tokens.
