Meanwhile, a life insurer that only deals in Bitcoin and is powered by A.I., has raised $19 million in seed funding to help deceased Bitcoin users pay out their loved ones in crypto.
The funding was led by Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, and Lachy Groom, an original employee at payments giant Stripe, with participation from Gradient Ventures, a Google-backed venture capital fund, among others.
Meanwhile only collects and distributes Bitcoin, and uses A.I. to issue claims and evaluate health risks of applicants. The company, which is licensed and regulated in Bermuda, aims to set a new standard for tech-enabled life insurance providers.
