Binance has announced its withdrawal from the Canadian market due to ongoing regulatory issues. The cryptocurrency exchange will begin terminating its services to Canadian users, citing new government guidelines provided to exchanges as the reason. The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) issued guidelines in February that target offshore companies like Binance that service Canadian clients, including a ban on margin or other forms of leverage and selling stablecoins without the regulator's permission. Binance hopes to engage in a dialogue with Canadian regulators going forward and return to the market when Canadian users have the freedom to access a broader suite of digital assets.
