Israeli authorities have seized around 190 Binance crypto accounts linked to terrorist groups, such as Hamas and Daesh, since 2021, according to a document by Israel's National Bureau for Counter-Terror Financing. Reuters questioned Binance's compliance policies for preventing and tackling cryptocurrency-based financing of terrorism. In response, Binance said the exchange's policies and processes comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing requirements and that it has counter-terrorism specialists and tools to detect and address suspicious activity. The exchange has also partnered with law enforcement agencies and authorities to identify and prevent terrorism financing. (coingape)
