Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has issued a warning about the increasing number of phishing attacks in the cryptocurrency industry. He advised users to rely on hardware devices for two-factor authentication (2FA) instead of mobile carrier-based 2FA. This comes after Uniswap founder Hayden Adams had his Twitter account compromised and the attacker attempted to scam his followers through a malicious link. Social engineering attacks, such as SIM swap attacks, are on the rise in the industry and experts recommend using methods like Google Authenticator or Authy instead of SMS for 2FA verification.
