Binance CEO Changpeng "CZ" Zhao has stated that the recent departures of key executive personnel from the company are part of normal staff turnover. CZ tweeted that the reasons given by the news are completely wrong, and that turnover occurs in every company as markets and the global environment for crypto change.

Reports suggest that high-profile personnel, including Chief Strategy Officer Patrick Hillmann and Senior Director of Investigations Matthew Price, left the company due to CZ's response to an ongoing investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice. Binance's Chief Business Officer, Yibo Ling, has also reportedly left the company, and U.S. staff are being asked to relocate offshore or be laid off.
