In March, the foundation proposed transferring 750 million ARB tokens worth $1 billion to its own wallets, but before the DAO could vote on the proposal, the foundation sent the majority of the tokens to itself. The community voted against the move, prompting the foundation to propose expanding ARB token holders' oversight of the budget and voting powers. The community approved proposals addressing the ARB tokens moved to the foundation's wallet and amendments to the DAO's governance, constitution, and bylaws. Goldfeder believes that the events ultimately led to greater transparency and community control, demonstrating that the DAO is in control.
