Apple has banned the use of Microsoft-backed AI chatbot ChatGPT and similar tools by its employees due to concerns over sensitive data being compromised. The company is currently developing its own AI technology and fears that workers using these programs could expose confidential information.

Apple has also restricted the use of GitHub's AI tool Copilot, which automates writing software code. Other large companies, including Samsung, JPMorgan, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup, have also banned the internal use of generative AI tools like ChatGPT while developing their own applications.
